Also included here will be a list of local, provincial, and national organizations that will be providing resources and information during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Our team will strive to update this page as often as possible to ensure that Taber's business community has easy access to accurate and up-to-date information. Town of Taber businesses can also access all the tools and information from the Lethbridge Region Economic Recovery Task Force. Businesses can call the hotline at 1-587-800-3356 for any questions related to business support services being offered during and following the COVIV19 pandemic.
Government of Alberta Relaunch Strategy
The Government of Alberta has released 'Opening Soon: Alberta's Relaunch Strategy' document that outlines the phased-approach to relaunch the economy.
In accordance to the Government of Alberta Relaunch Strategy, Stage 2 has allowed additional businesses and services to reopen and resume operations starting June 12 with physical distancing requirements and other public guidelines in place.
Business operators, sport and recreation services can determine if they are ready to open and ensure all guidance for workplaces are met.
Stage 2 allows the following to open with restrictions:
- libraries
- more surgeries
- wellness services such as massage, acupuncture and reflexology
- personal services (esthetics, cosmetics skin and body treatments, manicures, pedicures, waxing, facial treatments, artificial tanning)
- movie theatres and theatres
- team sports
- pools for leisure swimming
- VLT's in restaurants and bars
- indoor recreation, fitness and sports, including gyms and arenas
