 The Town of Taber annually hosts a community Halloween party on October 31st of each year in the Community Centre Auditorium for youth ages 12 and under. It is a safe, fun alternative for youngsters to enjoy this holiday.

This event is sponsored by the Town of Taber and numerous businesses in the community. We offer free hot dogs, numerous trick or treat spots and haunted houses!!  While there will be no games this year, there will be PLENTY of treats!!  We can’t wait to see all your amazing costumes!

Volunteers are always needed for this event to be a success. If you are able to volunteer please contact the Arts Culture Events Coordinator at 403-223-6013.

All kids 12 and under are invited to come trick or treat with us and grab some supper all thanks to donations made by our generous Community.

**Please Note that due to COVID-19, masks and physical distancing will be required while indoors.  We have set up our space to ensure that we follow all provincial guidelines and are able to accommodate everyone safely.  If you are feeling unwell, if you have tested positive or are a close contact of someone who is, please stay home**

COVID-19 Safety Measures and Restrictions Exemption Program 

As per Public Health orders; the Town of Taber Recreation Facilities are to follow the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) for our indoor events. This includes our upcoming Halloween party.  All Parents/Guardians who wish to walk through the party & haunted house with their children must show proof of any of the following plus ID:

  • Double vaccination (either hard copy or QR code; double vaccination is required by the Province as of October 25th)
  • Proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result within the last 72 hours
  • Proof of a medical exemption letter at the entrance of the Auditorium doors

If you would like to bring your child, but can not walk through with them (or do not want to), we will have “ghost hosts” available to walk through with them and you can meet them outside at the exit doors. If you’re unable to come inside, we will have volunteers who will bring you a hot chocolate so you can enjoy a sweet treat while waiting for your children.

In addition to following the REP program, the Town is trying to make things as safe as possible for our community by: all volunteers/staff/attendees being required to wear masks (volunteers will be required to be vaccinated as an extra step towards safety for our patrons), physical distancing, and frequent sanitation. We have a one-way route planned so that you can enjoy the haunted house (or skip it if you prefer), trick-or-treating, and then get a free hotdog dinner to go!

The exit and entrance will be at the Auditorium, with one door being used for the entrance and the other door for the exit. There is no need to pre-register, so enter if (and when) you dare!

As usual we are selling sponsor posters, stop by the AquaFun Centre anytime before Octo 29th to purchase yours!  Or if you’d like to donate candy or make a monetary donation towards the event, that would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you for your generosity in advance, we could not fun this event without our generous community!
