Town Council Meetings to be Live-Streamed
Starting January 14th, Council meetings of the Town of Taber will now be live-streamed and recordings made available to the public.
Equipment for recording meetings was installed in conjunction with renovations to Council Chambers which took place in 2018.
The live-streams will occur during each Regular and Special meeting of Council, and recordings will subsequently be made available on the Town’s official YouTube page.
“We’re pleased to offer another alternative for the public to see the formal process of Council and learn more about the work their local government does,” says Mayor Andrew Prokop, “One of our goals in our Strategic Plan was to develop a strategy to open up Council meetings to more of the public. We’re proud that the live-streaming will help accomplish that.”
The first live-stream will occur January 14th, 2019 starting at 3:30 PM and can be accessed at www.taber.ca/livestream.
