THIS RINK RAISED US. TOGETHER, WE RAISED IT BACK

We are overwhelmed, honoured, and so deeply grateful to be named the 2026 Kraft Hockeyville Champion.
To our community, you gave everything. You showed up in ways that were impossible to ignore. You rallied, you shared, you lifted each other, and you reminded all of us what it means to belong to a place like this. And to people across Canada who chose to stand with Taber, who took a moment to vote, to support, to believe in our story… thank you. You took something that meant everything to us and held it up for the entire country to see.
This was never just about hockey. This was about home. It was about early mornings at the rink and cold air in your lungs. It was about parents in the stands, kids on the ice, and generations who grew up within those walls. It was about a place that held our memories, our milestones, and pieces of who we are.
And when we lost it in the December explosion, we didn’t lose our community spirit.
That’s what people saw. That’s what people believed in. That’s what people voted for.
We extend our sincere thanks to Kraft Heinz, the NHL, and the NHLPA for believing in communities like ours. Kraft Hockeyville reminds us that hockey is more than a game. It’s where community lives.
To the community of Tumbler Ridge, your story moved this country. Your strength and your love for your community are undeniable. Congratulations on an incredible second place finish. We are proud to stand beside you!
There are moments that define a community. This is ours.
Not because of the title, but because of what it took to get here. Because of the people who refused to let something so important slip away. Because of the love that never left.
