Our crews are still out assessing and fixing damage in various areas around Town. In the meantime, we have a few answers for some FAQs that may come up as residents clean up their properties:
Missing/Damaged Garbage Carts and Missed Garbage Collection
If your collection carts have gone missing and/or have been damaged, give our Public Works Shop a call (403-223-6018) or email (email@example.com) with your address and our staff will help you out. Our phone lines will be busy today, so we ask that you leave a message if you can’t get through, or email if you are able to do so.
If your carts were missed in collection yesterday, please give our Public Works Shop a call to report it: 403-223-6018.
Tree Branches & Debris
The compost facility at 80th Avenue is now OPEN, but citizens are advised to use it at their own risk and be careful of debris. The Town still recommends using the Transfer Station (www.taber.ca/transferstation
) wherever possible for compost drop-off as it has a larger space, and the 80th Avenue site may fill quickly due to overwhelming response and damage. If you have other debris to clear, don’t forget that Taber households have up to three Transfer Station vouchers per year (which covers the cost of disposal for 250kg of waste each). Coupons can be picked up at the Town Office or the Public Works Shop (proof of address may be required).
The Taber Memorial Gardens remains CLOSED to the public. If you have questions about cemetery services, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 403-223-5500 ext 5515.
Power Lines and Power Outages
When clearing trees on your property, please be aware of power lines and take extreme caution around them. To report a downed line or a power outage, please call Fortis Alberta at 310-WIRE (310-9437) immediately. Stay away from downed or broken power lines.

Service Interruptions and Closures
The 80th Avenue compost facility is CLOSED until further notice. Please take compost items to the Transfer Station (when safe to do so, as current weather may impede service).

Home or Car Damage
If you have damage to your home or car, please contact your insurance provider as soon as possible.
