Taber At Work
The Public Services Department is involved in a wide variety of activities and services from infrastructure to recreation. Assisted by a large compliment of specialized personnel, the Department assumes responsibility for the maintenance and operation of:
• roads, curbs and sidewalks
• storm drainage system
• water treatment and distribution system
• waste water collection and treatment system
• solid waste collection
• turf/landscape maintenance for parks, the Taber Memorial Gardens cemetery, and sportsfields
• recreation facilities such as arena and indoor pool
• bylaw education & enforcement
• summer programs, community recreation and special event programming
Working closely with engineers, the Public Services Department undertakes several studies and infrastructure projects every year.
