Parks and Recreation
Taber is a well planned community that has a number of residential neighborhood parks and playgrounds situated conveniently throughout the town.
CONFEDERATION PARK
This park is comprised of approximately 11 acres of land and contains a playground, picnic tables, Arts and Crafts Centre, Parkside Manor Senior’s Centre, tennis courts, two ball diamonds, a gazebo bandstand and a new Skatepark. Confederation Park is the central site for many special events such as Taber Cornfest and Canada Day. On Sundays in the summer, many families are found picnicking in the park and enjoying the musicians playing from the bandstand.

TRAILS
Taber residents and town administration identified the need for a walking trail system throughout the town. The Trail Committee, along with Town administration, implemented a plan for the design and construction of a trail system that links major destination areas. Construction of the trail commenced in 2003.
SKATEPARK
Taber's newest recreation option, the Skatepark offers world class design that attracts visitors from throughout the region.

COMMUNITY CENTRE
The Community Centre complex is home to The Aquafun Centre, two ice arenas, 4 sheet curling rink, archery range, privately operated health club, 600 seat auditorium and 4 meeting rooms. The town also operates and maintains a number of soccer pitches, tennis courts, track and field oval, and horseshoe pits.

AQUAFUN CENTRE
The Aquafun Centre is one of the finest and most varied aquatic leisure facilities in Southern Alberta. Inside you will find 3 distinct pools which include a 200 foot waterslide, children’s play lagoon, rapids channel, sauna, steam room, and a hot tub. The Aquafun Centre utilizes a new technological innovation that uses a “Salt System” as an alternative method of disinfecting swimming pool water. Swimmers can enjoy these pools with reduced eye irritation because the concentration of salt water is approximately the same as the salinity of fluid around the human eye. So come and join us in “tropical” Southern Alberta and enjoy summer all year long.

KEN MCDONALD MEMORIAL SPORTS COMPLEX
The Ken McDonald Memorial Sport Complex boasts 2 ball diamonds, 2 soccer pitches, and a football field.
