Growing our Future
The year ahold holds many exciting opportunities for the Town of Taber. Like most municipalities in Canada, Taber has been dealing head on with a growing infrastructure deficit and this year is no exception. Council is resolved to address the current infrastructure deficit and have managed growth and to do so requires that we tighten our belt, maintain responsible spending and continue effective planning. Taber is equal to that challenge, but to what end? We need to look towards and plan for Taber's future.
This year, Taber will create an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan that will define and lead us to the Taber that we envision together. This community was built on hard work, neighbours helping each other out and a creative enterprising spirit. Not content to adopt a standard, one-size-fits-all version of this plan, Council is committed to developing a home grown, community specific plan that fits Taber. On behalf of Council, I invite each of you to roll up your sleeves, let us know what you feel and have your say about the future of this Community. Together, we create our future.
