Process of Applying to Serve in the Service
The Taber Police Service is looking to select individuals who have the knowledge, ability, skills, and personality traits to become police officers. Review basic requirements for employment.

Application Package
To initiate the selection process, complete the following forms:

Supporting Documents
To verify qualifications, the following documents (copies only) must be submitted along with your completed, signed application package:
  • Diploma and/or transcript indicating post secondary accomplishments
  • Driver’s abstract
  • Level C Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (basic rescuer)
  • Pardons (if applicable)
  • Proof of citizenship / residency (birth certificate, etc.)
  • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate

Note: The driver’s abstract must be current (within six months of the date on your application). More than seven demerits on your license will disqualify your application. If the documents listed above are not included, your application will not be considered.

Application Fee
There is an application fee of $107 that must accompany your application. The service will only accept a certified cheque or money order payable to the Taber Police Service.
